► Joint Equity - only online?
Joint Equity operates exclusively online. This means that you have to give us a valid email address if you want us to send you information or answer your questions.
► Why is Joint Equity email-only?
Being an Internet-only property financing company is a deliberate choice. We don’t run expensive call-centres or shops, so we are able to maximise your returns by keeping our costs low.
► An important note on emails
All Join tEquity correspondence is conducted by email for speed and convenience. Therefore, you will require a valid email address if you would like us to contact you in any way.
► Document formats - Acrobat
Our documents are usually sent as Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) files. You will require Acrobat Reader version 5 or later, which can be downloaded for free from http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
or by clicking on this icon.
► Document formats - HTML
Our emails & newsletters often include HTML. So, you need to allow HTML emails if you want to receive our news and emails, otherwise they will be translated into plain text by your email client and look very odd.
Usually, you can change these settings by adjusting your email filters. Use your email programme's 'Help' system if you don't know how to do this.
► Problems with Hotmail
Hotmail users: If you want us to send you an Information Pack please read this.
We have experienced some problems in sending information packs to Hotmail addresses. This is due to:
- MSN's junk/SPAM filtering system, which is there to protect you, but can sometimes block emails you actually want, and;
- Some Hotmail accounts still have low inbox size restrictions, and our emails get bounced due to lack of space.
► Problems opening attachments
Occasionally, a few people have trouble opening the attachments to our emails.
If you have trouble opening the files that we send you, please try the following:
- Save the file to disk or to your computer, then;
- Open the file from it’s saved position
This should work, but if it doesn’t, please contact us and we’ll try our best to help
► Fixing Hotmail filter problems
Unless you add us to your address book Hotmail is likely to block our emails and we will be unable to get your information to you.
If you also add our email address to your ‘safe list', our emails will always go to your Inbox rather than going straight into your Junk Mail folder.
Go to 'Options' (top-right of screen) when viewing your Hotmail Inbox to access mail filtering controls.
► Fixing Hotmail bouncing problems
Some Hotmail accounts have not yet had their Inbox sizes increased. If this applies to your account, you should do one of two things BEFORE you ask us for an Information Pack.
1. Check your inbox and make sure it’s only about half-full. We will send you your information pack before the end of the next working day after you request it, but your inbox may fill up quickly.
2. Open a different free email account (such as Yahoo! Or Lycos) which you could use just for your Joint Equity information & emails.
Do remember though that whatever email address we have for you, that’s the one we’ll use to contact you, so you will need to keep checking that account.
► Joint Equity Newsletters
If you want to subscribe to one of our email Newsletters please be aware that some mail systems block emails sent using Newsletter software, to prevent recipients from being SPAMed, unless you specifically allow them through.
Although JointEquity uses a specialist Newsletter generator, we do not send unsolicited mail, and you will only receive our emails if you have contacted us in the first place.
The Joint Equity Scheme is for first-time buyers, home owners and property investors.
