There are several ways around the problem of getting a big enough mortgage and deposit together to purchase your home, but borrowing from family members, or robbing a bank aren’t options that suit everyone!

► Want to stop renting?

Joint Equity shared home ownership can help you if you want to buy your own home instead of wasting money by renting. Whoever you are and wherever you want to live.

Shared ownership through the Joint Equity Scheme offers an alternative, by helping you to part-rent*, part-buy the home of your choice with an independent Investor-Partner.

 

► Don’t have a big enough deposit?

But what happens if you do not have a big enough deposit or don’t earn enough for the size of mortgage you need?

If you want to buy your own home you might be having problems with the numbers, but this is a common problem and the reason why we’re here.

This part of the site tells you all about Joint Equity and how we can help you.

Important:

At the moment, we can only accept properties of up to £250,000.

* We use the term ‘rent’ and ‘investor return’ interchangeably. What we mean by this is the return that your investor gets for helping you to buy your home. It’s not really a ‘rent’, because you are an owner of the property, and your investor does not have the same rights as a landlord (although both your interests are protected by our partner’s contract).
